"To me, creation is just a reaction to existence. It's almost, in a sense, a second look at life."
My Edgar Allan Poe poster sold out from my online store a while ago but I have been saving the last 10 of them to sell on the anniversary of his death which is tomorrow - 7th of October.
Email me at info@kevgrey.com if you want one and I will send you a paypal invoice. They cost £10 each within the U.K. and £12 outside the U.K. (price includes P&P) and they measure 41x29.7cm.
If like me you enjoy a good cup of tea and appreciate one-off collectables then you might be interested in a custom-printed, personalised mug!
For each mug purchased I will personally hand draw your chosen name on to the drawing and the final design will then be professionally printed on to a ceramic mug... Visit my Online Shop for more details and info on how place your custom order.
My book Beyond the Pale was included in the Visual Voices indie publishing exhibit at this years Baltimore Book Festival in the USA.
They also used my Edgar Allan Poe drawing outside the exhibit which I thought was double good considering Poe spent part of his living living in Baltimore... Thanks Jim for the invite.
This drawing is for everybody involved in building New Bird skateboard park in Liverpool. If you haven't heard the story a bunch of local skateboarders decided to take matters into their own hands and built their own park on a waste ground. Amazing. There are loads of good photographs of the process HERE
Earlier this week I left the studio space I have worked from for the past 14 months.. Looking forward to getting my new space set up so I can finish Dipsomaniac Funnies, my new animation!
I was asked to customise this Pro-Tec skateboard helmet to be given to Jasper Jones at the recent Vans Showdown event in London. It was a surprise gift from his workmates at Vans as Jasper had suffered some serious head injuries recently and landed himself in hospital. Hope you've made a full recovery mate!
Due to the glossy surface I couldn't sketch on the helmet first so I just drew straight on it with permanent marker leaving no room for any mistakes. I think it turned out nice considering...
Thanks to Charlie and JP at Vans for asking me to do this and also for sorting me out with all this clobber...
Our baby got hooked up with new shoes too!
